Growing Up

Kaylin is just amazing me. I'm sure there's nothing much different than what others have done and what Iolana did, but its amazing to me since I wasn't really there to see Iolana achieve the same milestones!

Just yesterday she started passing toys from one hand to the other. And she is very close to sitting up unassisted. I can finally bring out the "no so big" girl toys now. Kaylin lit up when she saw all the things she can learn to manipulate. Definitely takes after mom, the engineer! She's growing so fast.

I am probably a bit more aware of the milestones with Kaylin than I was with Iolana after reading up on the fine and gross motor skill development of babies. I read Montessori from the Start: The Child at Home, from Birth to Age Three which I recommend even if you don't like the Montessori Method. It gave me great insight into what is happening and how the find motor skills sync up with the gross etc.
