A few weeks ago Iolana and I had a tea party of our own. Kaylin and Teddy and Cinda joined us. We used the piano bench as the table. Iolana sat in her rocking hair along with Teddy and Cinda. I sat on one of Iolana's stools, and Kaylin sat in her Bumbo (very useful btw). We had the table set with a table cloth and everything. While up in Idaho, Grandma Pulsipher had let Iolana take a handful of ceramic tea cups back to Phoenix with her, so we even had real tea cups! Iolana had a blast, but you'd think it was pure sugar we were drinking. She gulped down cup after cup.
What kind of mother would I be if I were feeding my child pure sugar *wink*? We had water for the tea, water for the cream, and some sugar free raspberry Wlyer brand drink mix for the sugar. Iolana takes pride in her tea cups. I taught her to raise her pinkie when she lifts her cup. She'll tap her spoon on the edge of the cup before putting it down on a plate. It's very cute.
Well, today we watched Lindy. She's a Curly blond haired daughter of some friends of ours here. It's amazing how similar in temper Iolana and Lindy are. They both decided to have a tea party, and it had to be the real thing...None of this pretend stuff. So I set it all up for them in the kitchen and let them at it. Here is a picture of the party close to the end. Notice the faces, especially Iolana's. No driving for these missy's, and it is way past their bedtimes! It was very cute and I had to share.
Do you know where your parents are?
