Iolana was up to her usual tricks of getting out of taking a nap. She was hungry, then she wanted to watch a show, then she had to pick up her toys. While in our bedroom I yet again gave her the choices at hand. She could take a rest, OR, stay up and she would have to help me with my chores (she has some chores too but those would be taken care of after nap time). As she was frantically looking around the room she promptly stated, "but I have to get...this bear first". She had hoisted Edward Aluisious from the floor where it had been laying for at least a month. Edward is a tattered blue teddy bear with a nose that is almost gone and hardly any fur left at all. Not so long ago for you and me, Edward lay in a warm cozy bed belonging to none other than the very man I married. Where he came up with a name like Edward Aluisious I will never know (I don't think he knows either). I wasn't sure what she did with Edward after she left our room but she did end up in bed. She was read a story and then off I went to get some things done (it's not too often that both kids are sleeping at the same time!).
Two hours rolled by, Kaylin had been awake for about 30 minutes now and it was definitely time to wake up Iolana. And, who do you think I found in her bed? None other than Edward himself! I'm sure he was thrilled to be in a real bed again. Though I'm not so sure he'll get to sleep in a bed again it was great while it lasted. I asked Iolana if she was going to sleep with Edward tonight and she said no.
