Back From Yuma

Today is our first day back from Yuma AZ. We went down there last Thursday to visit Dad since he's down there for 2 weeks. The kids had a blast and it was a great break from the norm. There's some interesting things down in Yuma. A bridge to nowhere, a park full of nothing but rocks, a peanut patch, an historic state prison, a park with a castle made of fake wood, and of course an airport where Adam works.

Here's a few pictures from our trip.

Here Iolana and Kaylin and having fun playing at a local splash park. We went to a splash park at least once a day as it was 113 each day we were there. Roughly 100 degrees at 9:30 in the morning! The hotel had a pool but they did not have flow of cool water so the pool felt like you were stepping into a hot tub! Not what we needed in 110 weather.

This is the West Wetlands Regional Park. Very neat I think. We came here during the day but as I said above, it was too hot to do much outside. So we took our chances and came back after the sun went down. To our luck the park was lit, so we played for a while in the castle and surrounding grounds.

Another section of the Wetlands Park, designed for the smaller kids.

Kaylin really likes to swing. I remember Iolana never wanted to go very high in the swing. With Kaylin it seems we can't go high enough!

Ready set take off!
