It's time for the family reunion. This is actually the first time my immediate family has decided to get together and attempt a family reunion. It's quite difficult with one sister in Boston, one in Idaho, a brother in Colorado, parents in Washington and us in Arizona. But it's happening and we are off to see the family.
The trip to the airport is adventure enough for the kids it seems. Taking every precaution we tagged Kaylin incase she slipped away from us as she is so good at doing. The tag would usually go on a belt loop but with no loops to utilize her arm was the next best thing.
Iolana just couldn't handle the tabasco; she was out for the count before we even boarded the plane.
We made it on the plane and were able to get seats together which I thought was a miracle since it was a full flight. Having a 2 year old with us helped, most people were more than willing to sit elsewhere.
We actually had our own mini reunion on the plane. It was a great surprise to learn that my sister would be on the same flight out of Phoenix bound for Boston. So we were able to spend some time with her before anyone else did! Iolana was glad to have someone else to play with besides Mom and Kaylin.
As you can see Dad spent most of the time with his headphones on but I don't blame him since he has the nice noise reduction headphones. I'd much rather have those in my ears than to listen to the jets right outside the window.
We finally made it in to Boston. We dropped Star off at her in-laws place and made are trek down to Nashua. After a few wrong turns we made it to Marcie's doorstep about midnight. Thankfully we were able sleep in at least a little bit before the Boston adventures began.
